Printer Buying Guide As with a computer, when purchasing a printer it is important to know what you will be using it for. The most basic of printers typically won't get you photo quality prints, but if you won't be printing photos...well, this isn't an issue. Similarly, while it may be neat to have an all-in-one printer, faxing might just not be something you'll ever use it for. In this case, much better to spend your hard-earned money on higher print quality than fax functionality. Scanning and copying, however, go hand-in-hand in today's machines, so if you do either one, you'll be getting both anyways. As with any technology, however, the latest and greatest are always priced higher, so be sure you are either willing to shell out the bucks, or know what you're going to need. |
